I am concerned about this topic because:
- I am Sri Lankan.
- I have family and friends living in Sri Lanka.
- The economy mostly effects the poor people in the country.
The cause for the bad economy in Sri Lanka:
- Corrupt and pow2er hungry government officials and government.
- The civil war that has been going on for decades.
- Many of the upper class people don't care enough to help the poor.
The results the bad economy has:
- A rise in suicide rates.
- Harder living conditions.
- The poor getting poor and the rich getting richer.

I have no clue what it feels like to have a concern such as what you are going through right now. I hope your family in Sri Lanka is safe physically, mentally, and economically.
Is the civil war in Sri Lanka still going on today? Honestly I've never even heard of Sri Lanka. I wonder why the media never portrays its hardships and struggles.
